What Tessra processes

Tessra indexes local repositories on your machine so compatible agents can query symbols, call relationships, impact radius, and related engineering context.

What Tessra does not do during local use

Tessra does not upload your source code to Oxis servers during local indexing or normal MCP operation.

Tessra also does not send MCP usage telemetry, such as prompts, agent queries, queried files, or repository content.

Account, license, and billing data

If you create an account, activate a license, start a trial, or purchase a subscription, we may process account, license, and billing-related information such as:

  • name
  • email address
  • subscription status
  • license status
  • machine activation data
  • payment records
  • customer support history

We use this data to operate accounts, validate licenses, manage payments, prevent abuse, provide support, and maintain the service.

Operational service data

Oxis may process limited operational data related to licensing, activation, security, fraud prevention, billing, service health, and support.

This operational data does not include your repository source code or MCP usage telemetry, such as prompts, agent queries, queried files, or locally indexed content.

Where privacy or telemetry controls are available, they apply only to the product areas they describe. Some operational data may still be required to maintain licensing, payments, security, and abuse prevention.

Website analytics

The Oxis website may use web analytics, cookies, and similar technologies to understand traffic, website performance, product interest, and commercial conversion.

This analytics applies to the website and commercial flow, not to your repository content or local MCP operation.

Data retention

We retain account, licensing, billing, and support data for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Local indexes and repository-derived data generated on your machine remain in your local environment unless you voluntarily share information with support.

Data you share voluntarily

If you contact support or send logs, screenshots, exports, error examples, or code snippets, we will process that information only to respond to your request, diagnose issues, improve support, or meet applicable obligations. Avoid sharing sensitive information unless it is necessary to resolve the issue.

Third-party providers

We may use third-party providers for authentication, licensing, payments, hosting, email, customer communications, web analytics, support, and operational monitoring.

These providers process the data needed to provide those services. They are not used to upload or process your source code during Tessra's local MCP operation.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and operational measures to protect account, license, billing, and service data. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data where applicable under law.

You may also contact us if you need clarification about what Tessra processes locally and what Oxis processes for account, licensing, payments, or support.

Use with AI agents

Tessra provides context to compatible tools and agents, but it does not control the responses or changes those agents generate. You should review and approve any code change before using it in production.
